It was an excellent experience having Penfolds replace my roof, gutters, and skylights. When I was looking to have my roof replaced, I called around to a number of local roofers. I had a hard time even getting somebody to come out to take a look. It was very frustrating. I called Penfolds and they were super responsive and got the process started right away. They really made everything very easy and they seem like a very well-organized company. The roofers themselves were very professional and courteous. They kept the job site very neat and tidy and the project was completed very quickly. The quality of the installation seems superb. I'd like to give a shout out to Hamish, who really went above and beyond coordinating the project. He was super helpful, answered all my questions in detail, and always made himself available to work around my schedule. 5 stars, I would highly recommend.

We are happy with our 27-panel solar system and Rubber EcoRoof from Penfolds. The medium rubber shake in Saxon Black matches our older home and looks the closest to the asphalt we used to have. We monitor our solar production in real-time using the EMA app (but energy use can only be monitored by adding a separate device to the electrical panel).My feedback for Penfolds is to improve the communication and logistics during the planning stage. It honestly felt like I was the first client who bought both a roof and solar at the same time, given the disconnection between the two departments. A few examples:- The roofers added attic vent boxes right where 2 solar panels were designed to lay on the front roof, which deleted 2 panels from the system, though the boxes easily could have been placed a few feet over.- They could not tell me where I should place the plumbing vents and solatubes during renos to maximize solar layout on the brand new back roof line.- I was the one selling the idea to have MORE panels, convincing them to add some to the back entrance dormer (some of my top producing panels). I had been clear I wanted to place as many panels as possible to target net zero production.- If I was not diligent, I might’ve approved system design updates from them that did not follow our previous discussions (odd changes in panel layout that did not maximize use of space).- Though I was explicitly clear about never leaving our sump pump circuit off during the electrical work for more than a day, it was left off once during the winter rains. My contractor fortunately noticed the water seeping into the basement so I could come deal with the mess.- There were countless visits by many different reps during the electrical panel update review portion with redundant measurements and repeated questions, like a game of telephone. Each Penfolds rep seemed genuine and wanted to help, but their internal communication or tracking process needs improvement.Despite the logistics headaches, I am still grateful for the overall service received and quality of systems installed.

Penfolds installed 14 PV solar panels on the roof of my home back in 2016, then another 14 in 2017. Staring from negotiation, through communication, installation, and finally commissioning the PV system was prompt, detailed, and very professional.They communicated in advance when is their team going to deliver and install PV panels. They worked with the city I live in to commission and connect to the grid, cleaned after the installation, and finally explained what was done and how.I was very well informed of all steps along the way, and I appreciate that a lot.Also, I must add that their installation team is well mannered, no loud music, no swearing or yelling on the site.
